GOSHEN — The spirit of Raymond K. Royer, 82, returned to his creator at 2:10 a.m. Monday at his residence.
He was born Feb. 8, 1931 to Edward and Leah (Cripe) Royer, in Rossville (Clinton County) Ind.
On April 4, 1954, he was married to Barbara E. Meador who survives.
Also surviving are five daughters and a son, Wanda (Owen) Martin, Goshen, Dawn (Virgil) Stutzman, Vandalia, Mich., April (Steve) Swartz, Lake Odessa, Mich., Carla (Dwight) Martin, Sundance, Wyo., Charity (Jonathan) Yoder, Farmville, Va., and Eddy (Rachel) Royer, Bryant; 45 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Herman (Carol) Royer, Nappanee.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two half sisters, Sarah Wagner and Lydia Kinsey; and a half brother, David Royer.
Raymond was a regular attendee and member of Salem Mennonite Church.
The public is invited to a memorial service at Ramer Mennonite Youth Center, 24647 C.R. 44, Nappanee, Friday at 2:30 p.m. The home ministers of Salem Mennonite Church will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Christian Aid Ministries.
