GOSHEN — Ella Troyer, 91, died at 2:40 p.m. Thursday at her residence after a brief illness.

On Dec. 8, 1940 she married Atlee S. Troyer. He died May 5, 1991.

Surviving are four daughters, Glenna (Glen) Bontrager and Marilyn (Lester) Miller, both of Goshen, Ada (Freeman M.) Lambright, Topeka, Kathryn (Paul) Hochstetler, Goshen; and a son, Duane (Jeanne) Troyer, Goshen.

Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Friday and all day Saturday at the family’s residence, 14169 C.R. 30, Goshen. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Sunday also at the family’s residence.

Burial will be in Thomas Cemetery, Goshen.

Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, Middlebury, is handling arrangements.

There has been discussion at West Goshen Elementary School to require mandatory student uniforms in the future. How do you feel about the prospect of mandatory student uniforms in a public school environment?

I think it’s an excellent idea that is way overdue
I think it’s a bad idea and would be restrictive for students and parents.
