GOSHEN — Norma Rae Miller, 83, 2400 College Ave., formerly of 27th Street, died Monday at 4:15 a.m. at the Courtyard Healthcare Center, Goshen.
She was born Dec. 27, 1928 in Benton, to Kaleel T. and Laura E. (Hapner) Juday.
She married Charles L. Miller May 8, 1949, in Benton.
She is survived by her husband; three sons, Leonard R. (Imelda) Miller, Goshen, Herman E. (Linda) Miller, Syracuse, and Charles D. Miller, Goshen; two daughters, Carol J. (Norman) Goff and Elizabeth “Liz” C. (David) Silcox, both of Goshen; sister, Audrey Butt, Florida; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Gloria Miller, who died in 1958; and a brother, Keith Juday.
She was a homemaker and a lifetime member of the Gospel Lighthouse Church, Goshen. She volunteered at the Salvation Army for many years and enjoyed her family and friends. She also enjoyed bicycling.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the 11 a.m. funeral service Thursday at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen. The Rev. Jim Hostetler and Rodney Silcox, grandson of the deceased, will officiate.
Burial will be in Solomon Creek Cemetery.
