SYRACUSE —  Jeremy Stewart Yates, 20, of Syracuse, died at 6:48 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 19, at the scene of a mo-ped-automobile accident on C.R. 50 between C.R. 33 and C.R. 35.

He was born on Sept. 14, 1992, in Goshen, to Russell L. and Rebecca Yates.

Survivors include his father, Russell Yates of Syracuse; his mother, Rebecca (Patrick) Kuhn of Pierceton; a sister, Jennifer Yates of Syracuse; a half brother, Garrett Kuhn of Pierceton; a stepbrother, Michael Kuhn of North Webster; two stepsisters, Mandy Kuhn and Pamela Shelton, both of Cromwell; and grandparents, Russell and Betty Yates of Syracuse and Bud and Mabrine Beaver of Muscle Shoals, Ala.  

Jeremy had attended Fairfield High School and was working at Foremost Manufacturing in Goshen. He was a big outdoorsman, an avid hunter and professional fisherman.

Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 24, at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 S. Main St., Middlebury, with a funeral service following at 4 p.m. Services will be conducted by Pastor Lenny Krebbs.
