NAPPANEE — Marjorie J. Mishler, 83, died at 6:40 a.m. Saturday at her daughter’s residence.
She was born Feb. 28, 1930 in Nappanee, to Charles and Leota Weaver Mishler.
On May 13, 1951, she married Phil G. Mishler. He preceded her in death March 5, 2007.
Marjorie lived her lifetime in the area. She attended Brown Elementary School, was a graduate of New Paris High School and attended Goshen College. She was a homemaker, mom and proprietor of the Book Corner in Nappanee.
She was a member of Union Center Church of the Brethren and a former member of Nappanee Noon Kiwanis. Marjorie was a volunteer for many years at Goshen Hospital and had been a 10 year 4-H member.
Survivors include her daughter, Cathy (Chris) Gillam, Nappanee; sons, Rick (Debra) Mishler, Phoenix, Ariz., John (Jack Perhan) Mishler, Niles, Mich.; 9 grandchildren, Laura (Brooks) Blosser, Kelsey (Blake) Taylor, Brittney (Zac Lechlitner) Gillam, Chandler Gillam, Dan Mishler, Emily Mishler, Susannah Mishler, Elizabeth Mishler, Benjamin Mishler; 2 great grandchildren, Ava Blosser, Wilson Taylor; and a sister, Betty (Allen Norris) Plunkett, Elkhart.
A Memorial service will be held at 10:30 am, Tuesday at Union Center Church of the Brethren, Nappanee.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Nappanee Public Library.
