---- — NAPPANEE — Keith L. Hollar, age 77, died at 12:25 p.m. Monday at his residence after a courageous battle with three different cancers.

He was born Oct. 21, 1936 in Milford, to Everett and Mardas (Miller) Hollar. Keith lived his lifetime in this area. He attended Hastings one-room school.

On July 15, 1962, he married Norma Marie Strieby in Goshen. She preceded in death Nov. 16, 2007.

Mr. Hollar entered the Air Force at a young age and served during the Korean War. He was retired after driving truck for 42 years. Keith was a member of the Nappanee American Legion. He enjoyed spending time with his family, riding his Harley, fishing and championship wrestling.

Mr. Hollar is survived by his daughter, Kathy (Emzie) Watkins, Nappanee; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Miriam Cavender, Mishawaka, and Marla (Al) Headstrom, Edwardsburg, Mich.; and a brother, Max (Pam) Hollar, Lexington, Tenn.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen McCorkle.

Family and friends may call Thursday from 3 to 7 p.m. and one hour prior to the 10:30 a.m. funeral service Friday at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee. The Rev. Terry Tyler will officiate.

Burial with military graveside honors by the Nappanee American Legion will be at New Paris Cemetery.
