John E. Funk

GOSHEN — John E. Funk, 86, died Saturday evening at RiverCrest Specialty Hospital, Mishawaka.

He married Rosamond “Rose” Dahm Oct. 1, 1949 in Pierceton. She preceded him in death on Dec. 26, 2004. He then married Sharon (Huffman) Marganti May 9, 2009 in Goshen. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Regina (Jim) Jasiewicz, South Bend and Michelle (Michael) Wantz, Goshen; five step-children, Michael (Rhonda) Marganti, Mark Marganti, Karen Mitchell, Kathi (Tim) Irons and Teresa (Jay) Cirks.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen, where a 5:30 p.m. Rosary will be recited.

A 10 a.m., Thursday funeral mass will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.

Burial will follow in West Goshen Cemetery.

Goshen City Council member Dixie Robinson is asking residents to make an effort to clean up their yards this spring. The city’s Dial-A-Truck program is available to haul trash away. Do you think there are more unsightly properties in Goshen this year than five years ago?
