Ruth Delcamp, 94, died Friday at 4:35 p.m. at IU Health Goshen Hospital.
She was born Dec. 12, 1918 in Michigan, to Walter and Nellie (Austin) Covert.
She married Edward J. Delcamp Nov. 11, 1938, in Elkhart. He died Feb. 15, 1997.
She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn (Skip Kurtz) Van Arsdale, Goshen; sons, Edward (Becky) Delcamp, Tennessee, Scott (Mary) Delcamp, Nappanee, Howard (Kathy) Delcamp, Goshen, Richard Delcamp, Elkhart, and John (Kristine) Delcamp, Goshen; 19 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; five stepgrandchildren; and several step great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; an infant son, Sidney Delcamp; and 11 siblings.
She graduated from Middlebury High School and had been employed by Chase Bag, the Proof Company and Goshen Die Cutting. She was a former member of Goshen Assembly of God and Calvary Assembly of God, Elkhart.
She enjoyed selling and collecting Avon; attending her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events; watching sulky races; baking special treats; and playing board games with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Friends may call Sunday from 1:30 p.m. until the 3 p.m. funeral service at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen. Her grandson, the Rev. Andrew Van Arsdale, will officiate. Jeremy, Joshua, Brodie and Derek Delcamp, Aaron Van Arsdale, Johnny Migedt and Jordan Beck will serve as pallbearers.
Burial will be in Brown Cemetery, Millersburg.
