MEDFORD, N.J. — Frances Beck Reynolds, 89, formerly of Linwood, passed away Wednesday at Voorhees Virtua Hospital.
She was born in Goshen, Ind., and graduated from DePauw University. She lived with her husband, Charles C. Reynolds of New Paris, Ind., for 57 years until his death in 2005. She and her husband lived in Des Moines, Iowa, and Linwood during their marriage and raised four children, Richard (deceased), Sara (Matthew Nebel), Thomas (Olivia) and Emily. She is also survived by her grandson, Sam Nebel.
Mrs. Reynolds served on the Mainland Regional High School Board of Education, was active in the Linwood and Atlantic County Historical Societies, volunteered at Shore Memorial Hospital, CASA and Atlantic City Library and was a longtime member of the Margate Community Church.
In her retirement at Medford Leas, she maintained her interests in bird watching, genealogy, current events,and bridge.
A memorial service will take place Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Medford Leas Community Center, 1 Medford Leas Way, Medford, NJ 08055. The family will receive visitors afterwards.
Interment will take place in the spring at New Paris Cemetery in Indiana.
