John Butts

ALBION —  John Butts, 85, formerly of St. James, Mo., died Tuesday at 4:05 a.m.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy L. Christian (Butts), whom he married May 11, 1975; and seven children, Jack of Haverhill, Mass., Henry (Lisa) Butts, Danvers, Mass., John of Lowell, Mass., Tim of Clinton, Ill., Tom of Wawaka, Mary (Dave) Underwood, Wawaka and Amanda (Brad) Wagner, St. James, Mo.; and two stepchildren, Patricia Burgess, Chilicothe, Ill., and Geraldine Dorriety, Chelsea, Mass.

A graveside service is set for 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Sparta Cemetery, Kimmell.

Yeager Funeral Home, Ligonier, is handling arrangements.

Goshen City Council member Dixie Robinson is asking residents to make an effort to clean up their yards this spring. The city’s Dial-A-Truck program is available to haul trash away. Do you think there are more unsightly properties in Goshen this year than five years ago?
