GOSHEN — Arthur Calvin Snyder, 60, died Sunday at his residence.
He was born Oct. 13, 1952 in Charlestown, Mass., to Calvin F. and Dorothy E. (Cole) Snyder.
He is survived by his former wife, Pauline (Emery) Snyder, Goshen; brothers-in-law, Linden (Linda) Emery and Leonard (Kathy) Emery, both of Goshen; sister-in-law, Jane (Pierce) Atkins, Elkhart; a sister and two half sisters.
He graduated from St. Frances DeSales Catholic School, Charlestown, Mass. and Revere High School, Revere, Mass. He attended Worchester Polytechnic School, Worchester, Mass. for two years, majoring in chemistry and physics.
Arthur worked at Greencroft Healthcare for 18 years in information technology, which he found satisfying and challenging. He enjoyed classical and jazz music, theater and musicals. He was fond of his pets and was especially attached to his cats, Miss Calico, Mr. Hobbs and Rascal.
There will be a time of visitation Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen, where the service will begin at 1 p.m. Monday. Chaplain Chas Brothers of the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department will officiate.
Burial will be in Rock Run Cemetery.
