GOSHEN — J. Richard Schlabach, 83, died at his home.
He was born Aug. 7, 1929 in Goshen, to Ezra and Vivian M. (Johns) Schlabach.
He is survived by his sisters, Ruth Shaum and Arleta (Phill) Kilmer, both of Goshen; brothers, Dorvin (Ruth) Schlabach and Theron F. Schlabach, both of Goshen, and Dale I. (Vivian) Schlabach, Middlebury.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Eudean Broni.
Richard was a lifelong area resident of Goshen and member of Maple City Chapel. He spent his working years in the mobile home and RV industry, retiring from Carriage Inc. in Millersburg. He volunteered at The Window and in the community in a variety of ways.
Friends may call Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen, and from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday prior to the 10:30 a.m. memorial service at Maple City Chapel. The Rev. Gary Miller will officiate.
His body will be cremated.
