GOSHEN — Margaret L. Troyer, 86, died early Tuesday at IU Health Goshen Hospital.
She was born Nov. 8, 1926, in Kosciusko County, to Clifford and Leona (Miller) Welty.
She married Donald R. Dorsett in Goshen, in June 1955. He preceded her in death in 1967.
She later married Willard G. Troyer in 1968; he passed away in 1987.
She is survived by her three daughters, Bonnie L. (Art) Kidd, New Paris, Christine A. (Kevin) Zentz, and Lynee K. Dorsett, both of Goshen; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four sisters, Erma Baker, Delores Harmon, Phyllis Sowers and Laurabelle Bliele; and two brothers, Gerald and Willard Welty.
Mrs. Troyer was a member of the DAV, VFW, American Legion and life member of the Goshen Moose Lodge. She spent many years as a waitress at local restaurants including, County Seat, Bob Evans, Plain & Fancy and as a hostess at Gordy’s.
She was president and secretary of her bowling league and earned a place in the Bowling Hall of Fame. She enjoyed golfing, dancing and cooking.
Friends may call Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the 11 a.m. funeral service Saturday at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen. The Rev. Lenny Krebs will officiate.
Burial will follow at Violett Cemetery in Goshen.
