Harry E. Lerner, Jr.

Sept. 20, 1925-March 13, 2013

ORMOND BEACH, Fla.. – Harry E. Lerner, Jr., 87, died at home early Wednesday afternoon.

He married Janette M. Swartz Sept. 1, 1943 in Fort Wayne.

She survives along with two daughters, Barbara Reynolds, Wildwood, Fla., and Kelly Lerner, Spokane, Wash.; two sons, Jack Lerner, Port Townsend, Wash. and Chris Lerner, Orlando, Fla.; a foster son, Norman Chavise, Costa Rica.

Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen where a 10 a.m. Tuesday funeral service will be conducted.

Burial will follow in Rice Cemetery, Elkhart.

There has been discussion at West Goshen Elementary School to require mandatory student uniforms in the future. How do you feel about the prospect of mandatory student uniforms in a public school environment?

I think it’s an excellent idea that is way overdue
I think it’s a bad idea and would be restrictive for students and parents.
