---- — GOSHEN — Idamae Nisley, 84, passed away early Friday morning at Courtyard Healthcare where she had been a resident since January.

She was born Sept. 5, 1929 in Goshen, to S. Hugh and Esther (Myers) Woods.

She married Omer L. Nisley Sept. 24, 1976, at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Goshen.

He survives along with a daughter, Linda (Pat) Harrington, Elkhart; six sons, Douglas (Cathy) Everingham, Wichita, Kan., Stephen (Linda) Everingham, Rolling Prairie, Ron (Pam) Everingham and Richard (Kim) Everingham, both of Goshen, Phil (Mary) Everingham, Elkhart, and Greg (Carola) Everingham, Sheridan, Ill.; three stepdaughters, Elaine (Kevin) Kinion, Port Orange, Fla., Evelyn Stone, Austin, Texas, and Tracy (Doug) Hoogenboom, Middlebury; a stepson, Todd Yoder, Denver, Colo.; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Doris Rassi, Norma (Glen) Kyle and Kathy Nusbaum, all of Goshen; and two brothers, Glenn Woods, Goshen, and John (Donna) Woods, San Diego, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two grandchildren, Neil Everingham and Amy Davis; and a brother, Willard Woods.

A longtime member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, Mrs. Nisley attended Goshen High School and worked at Johnson Controls for 35 years until retiring in 1994.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, crocheting, sewing and ceramics.

Friends may call Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen, and one hour prior to the 11 a.m. funeral service Monday at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church. The Rev. Dick Rinearson will officiate.

Burial will follow in Oakridge Cemetery, Goshen.

Memorial contributions may be given to St. Mark’s United Methodist Church.
