---- — NAPPANEE — One of God’s special children, Lydia Rose Hochstetler, age 1, died after a 2 day illness at 2:50 a.m. Friday at Riley’s Hospital for Children in Indianapolis. She has had complications since birth.
She was born June 29, 2012, to Wyman E. and Jolene (Schwartz) Hochstetler in LaGrange County.
She is survived by her parents; a brother, Justin Lynn; sisters, Marla Jo, LaVerda Kay and Wanda Jean, all at home; grandparents, Earl and Marietta (Borkholder) Schwartz and Everett and Joanna (Yoder) Hochsteter, all of Nappanee; great-grandmother, Mary Ellen (Miller) Borkholder, Bremen; and great-grandparents, Lonnie and Verba (Mullet) Hochstetler and Henry and Wilma (Miller) Yoder, all of Nappanee.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Maria Diane Hochstetler
Family and friends may call after 2 p.m. today and all day Sunday at the family residence, 10338 N. 1000 West, Nappanee.
Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. Monday at the Marvin Kemp residence. The home ministers of the Old Order Amish Church, where her parents were members, will officiate.
Burial will be in Cedar Road Amish Cemetery.
