GOSHEN — Lindsey Jo Berkshire, infant daughter of Anthony and Jessica (Slabaugh) Berkshire, Goshen, died shortly after birth Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013, at Elkhart General Hospital.

Lindsey is survived by her parents; grandparents, Collier and Nettie (Troyer) Berkshire, Nappanee, and Harlan and Rita (Gingerich) Slabaugh, Nappanee; great-grandmother, Alma Troyer, Sugar Creek, Ohio; great-grandparents, Lester and Sarah Gingerich, Sarasota, Fla.; and a first cousin, Oliver Berkshire, son of Josh and Jess Berkshire, born Aug. 25, 2013.

Family and friends may call at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 18, for one hour at Bethel Conservative Mennonite Church in Nappanee. Graveside services will follow at 11 a.m. at the Church Cemetery. Pastor Vancen Miller of Sandy Ridge Conservative Mennonite Church will officiate.

Arrangements are with Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee.

I think it’s an excellent idea that is way overdue
