LAGRANGE — Esther J. Eash, 74, formerly of Shipshewana, died at 2:30 a.m. Tuesday at Miller’s Merry Manor, LaGrange, where she had lived for 12 years.
She was born Feb. 19, 1940 in LaGrange, to Jacob A. and Anna (Schmucker) Eash.
She is survived by her two sisters, Katie Mae Schmucker and Ida Byers, both of Goshen; her cousin and caregiver, Amelia (Levi) Fry of Shipshewana; and 18 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Polly Miller and Emma Nisley.
She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church and had miscellaneous restaurant and house-cleaning jobs
Visitation will begin at noon today at the Gerald Troyer residence, 0820 N. 700 West, LaGrange, where funeral services are set for 9:30 a.m. Thursday. Bishop Gerald Troyer and the home ministers will conduct services.
Burial will be in East Barren Cemetery, Shipshewana.
