GOSHEN — Edith Mary Ramer, 98, 65147 C.R. 15, died after a short illness Monday at 3:45 p.m. at her residence.
She was born Jan. 28, 1916, in Mahoning County, Ohio, to Harvey and Susanna (Witmer) Horst.
She married Martin Ramer Jan. 30, 1947, in Rockingham County, Va. She moved to Indiana in 1947. Mrs. Ramer was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Yellow Creek Mennonite Church.
She is survived by a son, Amos H. (Annie) Ramer, Goshen; daughters, Lena H. Ramer and Naomi H. Ramer, both of Goshen; and granddaughter, Marianna Ramer.
She was preceded in death by a stillborn son, Ivan, who died in 1950; a son, Harvey, who drowned in 1964; a sister, Laura Horst; and brothers, Rufus, Amos, Mahlon and Paul Horst.
Family and friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the family residence.
Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the Old Order Yellow Creek Mennonite Church. The home ministers of the church will officiate.
Burial will be in Yellow Creek Frame Cemetery.
