James C. Lyke Jr., 72, of Goshen, died Friday at the residence of his daughter, Robin.
He was born Jan. 2, 1942 in Fonde, Ky. to James C. Lyke Sr. and Mae (Seal) Lyke.
On March 3, 1962 he married Brenda (Moore) Lyke, who survives.
Other survivors are; a daughter, Robin (David) Kantz, of Goshen; a son, Tony Lyke, of Palm Springs, Calif.; grandchildren, Dustin (Shauna) Bailey, Jason (Kathy), Bailey, Eric Kantz and Hannah Kantz, all of Goshen; siblings, the Rev. Lonnie (Linda) Lyke, of Clairfield, Tenn., Becky (Mike) Whitefield, of Harrison, Tenn., Jerry Lyke, of Spring City, Tenn., Mike (Gale) Lyke, of Rockwood, Tenn., Ruby (Steve) Balint, of Lake Placid, Fla., Deborah (Richard) Nichilo, of Taylor, Mich., and Teresa (Kenny) Jackson, of Trenton, Mich.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Jimmy (Anne) Demaray and John Lyke.
James worked many years in management at Homecrest and most recently at Nickel Molding. He was a member of First Assembly of God, Goshen.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen.
He will lie in state one hour prior to the 1 p.m. Monday funeral service at First Assembly of God, 1706 Westplains Drive, Goshen. The Rev. Jason Kincaid of First Assembly of God will officiate.
He will be buried in Violett Cemetery.
