ELKHART — Clifford Carl “C.C” Whisler, 60, passed away at 10:20 a.m. Sunday at Elkhart Hospice House.
He was born Nov. 20, 1953 in Elkhart, to Clifford Herbert and Mary Ann (Lynch) Whisler.
In Saranac, Mich. Oct. 15, 1983, he married Nancy Sandborn, who survives.
Also surviving are his father, Clifford (Alysjane) Whisler of Elkhart; three sisters, Sarah (John) Pauwels of Elkhart, Rachel Whisler of Columbus, Ohio, and Renea (Allen) Smith of Muskegon, Mich.; brother, Patrick (Stephanie) Whisler of Middlebury; stepson, Kristopher Young of Stafford, Va., stepdaughter, Candi (Duke) Macgrayne of Rockford, Mich.; three grandchildren; and nine nieces and nephews.
Clifford was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ann Whisler, and a sister, Melissa Walker.
A celebration of life service will take place Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 202 S. Greene Road, Goshen, where visitation will take place from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. with services beginning at 11 a.m. The Rev. John Hickey will officiate.
Clifford loved the water and enjoyed all kinds of water sports. He was a member of the Jumping Joes in high school and also was involved in several plays in high school. He also competed in speech meets. He attended Trinity Lutheran Church in Goshen.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Center for Hospice Care-Elkhart.
Elkhart Cremation Services has been entrusted with arrangements.
