WAKARUSA — Edith J. Wogomon, 84, died at 4:45 a.m. Wednesday at Miller’s Merry Manor, Wakarusa.
She was born April 22, 1929, in Milford, Neb., to James and Mabel (Eicher) Klopfenstein.
On Dec. 24, 1947, she married Kenneth L. Wogomon. He died Jan. 14, 2007.
She is survived by two daughters, Joan (Donnie) Beck, Wakarusa, and Martha (Dennis) Ramer, Elkhart; two sons, Denny (Billie) Wogomon and Don (Cheryl) Wogomon, both of Elkhart; three brothers, Ted Klopfenstein and Wilbur (Doris) Klopfenstein, both of Goshen, and Keith (Joanne) Klopfenstein, Elkhart; 17 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Wayne and Harry Klopfenstein; and five sisters, Bernice Hauder, Zola Reidger, Fern Graber, Dorothy Morningstar and an infant sister, Betty Klopfenstein.
She was a homemaker and had previously worked at Miles Laboratories.
She was a graduate of Goshen High School and a member of Olive Mennonite Church, Elkhart.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret-Lienhart Funeral Home, Wakarusa, and one hour prior to the 3 p.m. funeral service Saturday at Olive Mennonite Church. Kevin and Sharon Yoder, co-pastors of Olive Mennonite Church, will officiate.
Burial will be in Olive (East) Cemetery.
