GOSHEN — Alma J. Hershberger, 77, died at 7:26 a.m. Friday at her nephew’s residence in Howe.

She was born on June 2, 1936 in Goshen, to Joseph E. and Bessie Amanda (Christner) Hershberger.

Surviving is a brother, Ray (Lizzie) Hershberger, Goshen; eight nephews, Glen Ray (Vera) Hershberger, Marion Lee (Wanda) Hershberger, Ivan Leroy (Betty) Hershberger, Orva (Naomi) Hershberger, LaVern (Erma) Hershberger, Vernon (Clara) Hershberger, David (LeEtta) Hershberger, Mervin (Ruth) Hershberger; five nieces, Alma (John Mark) Borkholder, Carolyn (Lee Allan) Chupp, Ruth Ann (Ronnie) Yoder, Ida Ellen (William) Miller, Nona Ann Chamness.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Ida Hershberger, three brothers, Lloyd, Alvin and Eli Hershberger and four stillborn siblings.

She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today and all day Sunday at the Ray Hershberger residence, 62270 C.R. 37, Goshen.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at the Howard Lambright residence, 62308 C.R. 37, Goshen. Services will be conducted by Bishop Ernest Lee Schrock and the home ministers.

Burial will be in Thomas Cemetery, Goshen.

Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, Middlebury, is handling arrangements.
