MIDDLEBURY — Harvey L. Miller, 83, died at 7 a.m. Saturday at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, as the result of injuries suffered in an auto accident Tuesday Dec. 17.
He was born Aug. 9, 1930, in Arthur, Ill., to Levi and Carrie (Kauffman) Miller.
On Sept. 28, 1950 in Middlebury he married Ida Ellen Bender; she died April 24, 2005. Surviving are three daughters, Marlene Ann (Ezra) Miller, of Metamora, Ill., De (Mike) Sellers, of Gainesville, Fla., Sharon (James) Brandenberger, of Middlebury; two sons, Duane (Cheri) Miller, of Plymouth, Don Miller, of Battle Creek, Mich.; nine grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; four sisters, Fannie Bontrager, of Peru, Lizzie Ann (Jerry) Kuhns, Mary Yoder and Lela Reynolds, all of Arthur, Ill..
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, a son, Marion Miller and a brother, Eli Miller.
Harvey was a member of Griner Mennonite Church and had worked for Fidler’s Ready Mix and then Consumer’s Ready Mix until his retirement.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 S. Main St., Middlebury. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Griner Mennonite Church, Middlebury. Services will be conducted by the Revs. Robert Riegsecker and DeWayne Yoder.
Burial will be in Griner Cemetery, Middlebury.
