TOPEKA — Floyd M. Bontrager, 82, died at 8:50 a.m. Wednesday at Parkview LaGrange Hospital. He had been in failing health.
He was born June 18, 1931 in LaGrange County, to Mahlon N. and Rosa (Lambright) Bontrager.
On Nov. 20, 1951, he married Wilma Miller, who survives.
He is also survived by a daughter, LeAnna Yutzy of Nottawa, Mich.; four grandchildren, Marcus Yutzy, Julie Yutzy, Darin Yutzy and Bethany Yutzy; son-in-law, Eli Yutzy; two sisters, Katie Knepp of Topeka and Susie (Freeman) Lehman of Shipshewana; two brothers, Elmer (Katie) Bontrager of Topeka and Menno (Marilyn) Bontrager of Middlebury.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Clara Bontrager.
Floyd was the owner/operator of Honeyville Furniture and had worked at local area trailer factories. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church, where he served as a minister. He and his wife wintered in Florida for many years.
Friends may call after 1 p.m. today and all day Friday at the family residence where funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday. Services will be conducted by Bishop Ervin Yoder and the home ministers.
Burial will be in Honeyville Cemetery, Topeka.
