---- — NAPPANEE — Ruby Mast, 94, died at 7:23 p.m. Wednesday at Miller’s Merry Manor, Wakarusa.

She was born on Dec. 19, 1919 in Newton County, to Roman and Mattie (Yoder) Miller.

On Feb. 21, 1940, she married Abe L. Mast. He preceded her in death Oct. 23, 1996.

Mrs. Mast was a member of the Fairview Amish Mennonite Church. She was a seamstress and had been a custom tailor for 30 years. After retiring from custom tailoring, she pieced quilts for Quilt Designs in Goshen. She also pieced many quilts for her church. She loved singing and playing the guitar.

She is survived by her two sons, Levi A. (Ann) Mast, Montezuma, Ga., and Edwin A. (Mary) Mast, Goshen; four daughters, Rachel (Ben) Graber, Sarasota, Fla., Irene Yoder, Wakarusa, Anna Lou (Levi) Helmuth and Marie (Leon) Wengerd, both of Nappanee; 19 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; three brothers, Edward R. (Velma) Miller, Goshen, Marvin D. Miller, Middlebury, and Roman (Barbara) Miller Jr. of Nappanee; and three sisters, Katie Mullet, Etna Green, Elnora (Owen M.) Yoder, Nappanee, and Lydia Mae (Kenneth) Yoder, Sarasota, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Roman A. Mast; three grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a great-great grandchild; and two brothers, Tobias R. and Alvin R. Miller.

Family and friends may call from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at United Christian School in Nappanee.

A funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday at Fairview Amish Mennonite Church, Nappanee. Pastor Randy Miller and members of the Fairview ministry will officiate.

Burial will be in the Fairview AM Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Nathan Graber, Gary Mast, Keith Mast, Larry Yoder, Jason Wengerd and Kevin Mast.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Wilderness Boys Camp in Fair Play, South Carolina.
