GOSHEN — Glenn Yoder, 66, of Goshen, died at 1:07 p.m. Wednesday at his residence after a year-long battle with ALS.  

He married Amy Bontrager on Aug. 22, 1970 in Elkhart County. She survives.

Survivors in addition to his wife are two daughters, Amy Elizabeth (Nathan) Hershberger of Shipshewana, Heidi (Timothy) Miller of Goshen; three sons, Timothy (Serena) Yoder of Middlebury, Jamin (Raquel) Yoder of Shipshewana, Luke (Christina) Yoder of Middlebury.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, all at Rosewood Fellowship Church, 5705 North 900 West, Shipshewana.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Fairhaven Mennonite Church, Goshen.

Burial will be in Rosewood Cemetery, Shipshewana.

There has been discussion at West Goshen Elementary School to require mandatory student uniforms in the future. How do you feel about the prospect of mandatory student uniforms in a public school environment?

I think it’s an excellent idea that is way overdue
I think it’s a bad idea and would be restrictive for students and parents.
