MILLERSBURG — Mary C. Hochstetler, 65, 67182 C.R. 37, died at 3:46 p.m. Thursday at Parkview LaGrange Hospital. She had been in declining health for a year.
She was born July 30, 1944 in LaGrange County, to Chris J. and Katie A. (Beechy) Kurtz.
She married Daniel Lee Hochstetler March 17, 1966, in LaGrange County. He died Nov. 28, 1992.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Survivors include her three daughters, Rosanna (Kent) Beers, Millersburg, Catherine (Corey) Martin, Middlebury, and Betty (special friend, Steve Stout, Elkhart) Hochstetler, Millersburg; three sons, David J. (Velma) Hochstetler, Omer (Miriam) Hochstetler, and Calvin (Inez) Hochstetler, all of Millersburg; 14 grandchildren; a sister, Anna Gingerich, Wolcottville; brother, Jacob (Mary) Kurtz, Topeka; and a foster sister, Amanda (Irvin) Miller, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Wilbur Hochstetler; and a sister, Elmina Bontrager.
Friends may call all day today at the Calvin Hochstetler residence, 67178 C.R. 37, Millersburg, where the funeral service will take place Sunday at 1 p.m. The Bishop Amos Wingard and the home ministers will lead the service.
Burial will be in Thomas Cemetery, Goshen.
