MOORESVILLE, N.C. — Orpha Edna Hawley, 90, 181 Dairy Farm Road, formerly of Goshen, Ind., died after a brief illness Monday at 2:30 a.m. at Genesis Health Care, Mooresville, where she had been a patient for three days.
She was born Dec. 31, 1918 in Gravelton, Ind., to Jesse and Ida (Pembrook) Keck.
She married Willard DeVoe Hawley Dec. 12, 1935. He died Feb. 21, 1974.
She is survived by three daughters, Diana Lackey, Warsaw, Ind., Mary Ann (Gerald) Lumadue, White Pigeon, Mich., and Betty Louise (Eduard) Krause, Kokomo, Ind.,; two sons, John J. (Barbara) Hawley, Seminole, Fla., and Patrick Alan (Debra) Hawley, Mooresville; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her husband and a daughter, Karen S. Juday.
She retired as a factory worker from the former Demco Electronics, Elkhart, Ind.
Friends may call Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, Goshen, Ind., where the funeral service will take place Friday at 10 a.m. Dr. Daniel Gelatt of Calvary Baptist Church, Elkhart, Ind., will lead the service.
Burial will be in Union Center Cemetery.
