NORTH WEBSTER, Ind. — Weldon Jay Lockhart, 51, died Monday in North Webster.
He was born Sept. 29, 1955, in St. Ignace, Mich., to Reginald and Jane (Mangene) Lockhart.
He married Patricia Owsley May 6, 1979.
He worked as a road construction laborer, and was a member of the Laborers International Union of North America Local 645 and the North American Gardeners Club.
He enjoyed gardening.
He is survived by his three daughters, Barbara (Mark Graham) Lockhart and Morgan Lockhart, both of North Webster, and Frankie (Joshua Emmons) Lockhart, Claypool; a son, Waylon Lockhart, North Webster; four grandchildren; three brothers, Everett (Tammy) Lockhart, Pierceton, James (Connie) Lockhart, Hessel, Mich., and Robert (Kathleen) Lockhart, Syracuse; and three sisters, Lois Plank, Hessel, Penny Hepler, Pierceton, and Joy Morris, North Webster.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Freddie Lockhart.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Misher-Eastlund Funeral Home, 7458 E. 1000 North, Syracuse.
Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. Monday at Reamer Galer Funeral Home, Pickford, Mich. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral.
Burial will be in Maplewood Italian Cemetery, Hessel, in Clark Township.
