Luella M. Troyer

SHIPSHEWANA, Ind. — Luella M. Troyer, 91, died Thursday at Parkview LaGrange Hospital.
She was a homemaker and worked for Lambright’s Hatchery Inc. for 12 years. She lived her lifetime in LaGrange County and graduated from Scott High School. Luella was a member of Shore Mennonite Church, Shipshewana. She volunteered as a Gray Lady for LaGrange County Hospital and was a member of the LaGrange County Farm Bureau.
She was born May 31, 1917, in Shipshewana, to John and Lucretia (Renner) Christner.
On June 2, 1935, she married Glenn S. Troyer in Shipshewana. He preceded her in death June 12, 1984.
Surviving are five daughters and two sons-in-law, Roberta and Richard Steider, Shipshewana, Janet Weaver, Elkhart, Dorothy and Carol Troyer, both of Goshen, and Nancy and Chris Yoder, Middlebury; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Gerald L. and Carolyn Troyer, Shipshewana, James and Barbara Troyer, Fort Myers, Fla., David W. Troyer, LaGrange, and Dennis and Kathleen Troyer, Shipshewana; 17 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Dana Christner and Oscar Christner; two sisters, Venona Barnell and Beulah Mockler; a grandson; a granddaughter; and a daughter-in-law.
A memorial service will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday at Shore Mennonite Church with the Rev. Carl Horner and the Rev. Brent Eash officiating.
A graveside service will take place Sunday at 1 p.m. at Shore Cemetery, Shipshewana.
Visitation will be Saturday from 2 to 8 p.m. at Shore Mennonite Church, Shipshewana.
