Eugene R. Schlabach

March 13, 1948-Sept. 1, 2008

NEWTON, Kan. — Eugene “Gene” Ray Schlabach, 60, died Monday at his residence.

He was married to Treva Armstrong, who died in September 2007.

He is survived by his mother, Anna (Schlabach) Roine, Sarasota, Fla.; two sons, Jeff (Sasha Sittner) Schlabach, Gunnison, Colo., and Scott (Tracy Hayes) Georgetown, Texas; and three daughters, Karen Schlabach, Overland Park, Ronda (Steve) Horstman, Corinth, Texas, and Josie (Andrew) Yount, Los Angeles, Calif.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, Newton, Kan.
