Charles T. Sponseller

PIERCETON, Ind. — Charles T. “Charlie” Sponseller, 89, died Tuesday at 11:15 a.m. at Mason Health and Rehabilitation, Warsaw.

He married Vera Jean McGary May 2, 1941, in Pierceton. She died in January 1980. He married Thelma L. (Ulrey) Maure Feb. 14, 1981. She survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Jeffrey C. (Barbara) Sponseller, Pierceton, Jerome L. (Kay) Sponseller, Pierceton, and Mark J. (Sue) Sponseller, Yorktown; stepson, Ron (Alicia) Maure, Elkhart; and stepdaughter, Sharon (Adam) Hawkins, Elkhart.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Owen Family Funeral Home, Syracuse.

The funeral service will take place Sept. 4 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will follow in Washington Union Cemetery, Pierceton.
