Ursula M. Miller

Ursula M. Miller, 91, 2708 S. Main St., Goshen, died Sunday at 9:30 p.m. at Goshen General Hospital where she had been a patient for one week.
She was born Oct. 22, 1916, to John A. and Katie (Yoder) Swartzendruber, in Kalona, Iowa. She had lived in Goshen since 1942.
She married Annas Miller, Feb. 2, 1936, in Kalona, Iowa. He preceded her in death Oct. 25, 2002.
Surviving are two daughters, Marcia E. Miller, Goshen, and Karen Ventura, San Diego, Calif.; three sons, Francis D. (Marcile) Miller and Galen D. (Sue Neeb) Miller, both of Goshen, Loren E. (Floy) Miller, Lexington, S.C.; 11 grandchildren, Daryl Miller, Donita Bauer, Darren Miller, Anthony Miller, Janelle Openshaw, Janae Turner, James Miller, Heidi Ventura, Leticia Leffel, Clayton Miller and Katie Miller; 19 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Lois Widner, Williamsburg, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Stanley Ray Miller, who died Dec. 18, 1940; and seven brothers, Urie, Harry, Melvin, William, George, John and Henry Swartzendruber.
She worked in the occupational therapy department at Oaklawn Center and Hospital from 1969 to 1999. She was a volunteer for the Oaklawn Auxiliary and Goshen Care At Home Hospice from 1988-1998.
Friends may call Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Koinonia Room at College Mennonite Church, where the memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday. The Revs. Klaudia Smucker and Gary Martin of College Mennonite Church will officiate.
Burial will follow a private family prayer service.
Memorials may be made to the Oaklawn Foundation, Bethany Christian Schools or Goshen Care at Home Hospice.
