Jesse W. Riegsecker

June 3, 1918-July 14, 2008

MIDDLEBURY, Ind. — Jesse W. Riegsecker, 90, 403 E. Spring St., died Monday at 3:20 a.m. at Greencroft Health Care Center, Goshen.

He was born June 3, 1918, in Elkhart County to John and Neomah (Miller) Riegsecker.

On Feb. 12, 1943, he married Agnes Miller. He was a farmer and a member of Clinton Frame Mennonite Church. He served in CPS during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Agnes Riegsecker, Middlebury; his daughter Rebecca (Mike) Lee, Middlebury; his three sons, John (Deborah) Riegsecker, Gig Harbor, Wash., Joseph (Debi) Riegsecker, Middlebury, Jerry (Kay) Riegsecker, Wakarusa; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lillian (Fred) Slabach, Middlebury, Doris (Roy) Keim, Goshen; three brothers, Duane (Ellen) Riegsecker, Goshen, Richard Riegsecker, Goshen, and Robert (Sandy) Riegsecker, Ligonier.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, James Riegsecker; two sisters, Mary Rice and Louise Hoogenboom; an infant sister and two infant brothers.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, Middlebury

Friends and family may gather at the funeral home at 9 a.m. Friday to go in procession to a graveside service prior to the memorial service.

Memorial services will take place at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Clinton Frame Mennonite Church, Goshen. The Rev. Terry Diener will conduct the services.

Burial will be in Grace Lawn Cemetery, Middlebury.

Memorials may be given to Loveway of Middlebury.
