Hazel D. Wenner-Schmidt

July 17, 1920-July 3, 2008

ELKHART, Ind. — Hazel D. Wenner-Schmidt, 87, Laurel Street, died Thursday at 3:30 a.m. at Riverside Village Nursing Home.

She married Kenneth Wenner in 1938 in Elkhart. After his death in 1978, she married Chester Schmidt in 1982. He died in 1998.

Surviving are two sons, Keith C. Wenner, Elkhart, and Wayne E. (Loretta) Wenner, York, Pa., and a daughter, Shirley A. Akers, Elkhart.

Friends may call Monday from noon to 1 p.m. at Billings Funeral Home, Elkhart, where the funeral service will begin at 1 p.m.

Burial will be in Prairie Street Cemetery, Elkhart.
