WAKARUSA — Mary McDowell, 93, Miller’s Merry Manor, formerly of C.R. 7, Goshen, died Tuesday at 6 p.m. at her residence.
She was born Oct. 6, 1915, in Goshen, to Victor and Nola (Hartman) Schrock.
She married Argel McDowell Oct. 29, 1938, in Goshen. He died Oct. 1, 1997.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Sue Holderman, Hebron, Ohio; sister, Marjorie Sechrist, Goshen; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and brothers, Guy Schrock and Norman Schrock.
She worked at G.L. Perry as a clerk and helped her husband with their auction service. She was a member of Yellow Creek Church of the Brethren and did volunteer work at The Depot, Goshen.
Friends may call Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret-Lienhart Funeral Home, 117 W. Waterford St., Wakarusa, where the funeral service will take place Saturday at 10 a.m. The Rev. Mark Bendes of Yellow Creek Church of the Brethren will lead the service.
Burial will be in Yellow Creek Cemetery.
