WAKARUSA — Inah M. “Freddie” Frederick, 103, Miller’s Merry Manor, Wakarusa, died Thursday at 9:50 p.m.
She was born Jan. 25, 1906, in Indianapolis, to Alpha and Clara (Penrose) Miller.
She was a lifetime area resident and a graduate of Wakarusa High School.
She married Lowell M. Frederick Nov. 24, 1923. He died Jan, 2, 1987.
She formerly worked at Western Rubber in Goshen and during World War II she worked at the Ammunition Plant in Kingsbury.
She formerly attended Grace United Methodist Church, New Paris, Goshen Hospital Auxiliary and for many years worked in the Maple Corner Pantry at Goshen Hospital.
She is survived by a son, Vance (Mary) Frederick, Nappanee; a sister, Verna Jacobs, Venice, Fla.; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, June Davis; and a brother, Charles Miller.
The family will receive friends at Thompson-Lengacher and Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, Monday from 1 to 3 p.m.
The funeral is scheduled for Monday at 3 p.m. at the funeral home, with inurnment in Union Center Cemetery, Nappanee. The Rev. Jan McFall-Brown, First Mennonite Church, will officiate.
Memorials may be sent to Goshen General Hospital.
