Donna Mae Van Dussen

Aug. 8, 1931-June 23, 2009

Donna Mae Davison Van Dussen, 77, of Hot Springs Village, Ark., passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2009, in a Little Rock hospital.

She was born Aug. 8, 1931, in South Haven, Mich., to Coleman Davison and Irene Foss Davison. She was a retired elementary school teacher and a member of the Mountainside United Methodist Church. She was a decorative artist, member of the Village Players, a member of Potter’s Clay and of numerous card groups. She was a very outgoing lady and well known for her caring ways, charitable spirit and servant heart, always ready to lend family and friends a helping hand.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis F. Van Dussen of Hot Springs Village, Ark.; two sons, Richard Sliwoski of Portage, Mich., and Mark Sliwoski and his wife Cheryl of Cosby, Tenn.; two daughters, Valerie Jasperson and her husband David of Houston, Texas, and Sally Sliwoski of Brownsburg, Tenn., a brother, James Davison and his wife Beverly of Muskegon, Mich.; and 11 grandchildren: Nicole Sliwoski, Ryan Sliwoski, Tristan Sliwoski, David Jasperson, Jessica Jasperson, Samantha Jasperson, Courtney Jasperson, Kurtis Jasperson, Shonna Jasperson, Trevor Jasperson and Danielle Postnikoff.

Her parents preceded her in death.

A memorial service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, June 27, 2009, at Mountainside United Methodist Church with Pastor Rev. Chris Hemund officiating, with a reception immediately following, at the church.

The family respectfully requests in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Mountainside United Methodist Church Memorial Garden Fund, Hot Springs Village, Arkansas.

Arrangements are under the direction of CedarVale Funeral Home, Hot Springs Village, Arkansas.
