Geraldine Alma Juday, 87, 333 E. Mishawaka Road, Elkhart, died at 12:25 a.m. Thursday at Valley View Health Care Center, Elkhart. She had been ill for two and a half years.
She was born July 23, 1920, in Toledo, Ohio, to Harold and Myrtle (Glickert) Thomas.
She married Ralph E. Juday Sept. 14, 1940, in Goshen. He died April 22, 2006.
A homemaker, she was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Goshen.
She was a member of the Class of 1939 at Goshen High School, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 985, Goshen Elks Lodge No. 798, and Goshen American Legion Post 30.
She is survived by a daughter, Jackie (Jim) Boyland, Elkhart; two sons, David M. (Pam) Juday, Elkhart, and Tom (Mary Ann) Juday, South Bend; 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Jane (George) Pestor, Goshen.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen. A Rosary will be recited at 4:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
The funeral will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, with Father Christopher Smith officiating.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Nick Juday, Jeff Juday, John Noel, Mike Juday, Katie Juday and Michael Snow.
Burial will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen.
