ELKHART, Ind. — Mary “Carol” King, 65, 58332 C.R. 105, died Friday at 7:27 a.m. at Elkhart General Hospital Emergency Room.
She was born July 1, 1942, to Wallace Gordon and Mary Ruth (Davis) Jones, in Louisville, Ky. She was a graduate of Wilbur Wright High School, Ohio. She moved here 31 years ago from Dowagiac, Mich.
She worked at Kinro, Goshen, in inside sales, and part-time at Kohl’s, Goshen. She was a member of Dunlap United Methodist Church.
She married Clarence “Rick” King, June 18, 1969, in Dowagiac, Mich. He died June 3, 1999.
Surviving are three daughters, Sharon (Theodore Boylan) Borders, Fort Wayne, Kimberly Darlene Edwards, Wilson, N.C., and Sheri (Robert) Dorrier, Elkhart; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lanell (Charles) Rowland, Danridge, Tenn., and Debbie Miller, Middletown, Ohio; a brother, Glenn Jones, Middletown, Ohio; a sister through God, Jackie Dunithan, Syracuse; and her companion, Richard Navarro, Elkhart.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen, where the funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Vince Wilezynski of the Syracuse Church of God, will officiate.
Burial will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
