Northridge took to both the air and ground in a 27-0 drubbing of NLC foe Elkhart Memorial Friday night.
Travis Schlabach scored twice on the ground, once from one yard out in the first quarter and again with 7:52 left in the third quarter to lead the way for the Raiders.
Cam Ridenour scored on a rush from 11 yards out in the second quarter to put Northridge up 14-0.
Then later in the second quarter, signal caller Tanner Love found Derek Woolsey from 23 yards out and with just 44 seconds left in the half to put the Raiders up 21-0.
Northridge finishes the regular season with a record of 7-2 overall and 5-2 in the NLC.
Some Raider history was made with Friday night’s triumph.
The win gave Northridge a winning record for the first time since 2009 and the school’s first seven-win season since 1977.
The Raiders face a tough test to open up sectional play when they host Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
