Busy Saturday for Little League


GOSHEN — Goshen

Tee Ball

Eby Ford Mustangs: Xander Kimble, Alexis Moro and Cheuka Turner Berger were best hitters.

Tom Naquin Rockhounds: Malacki Lambuth, Kyra Hill and Hannah Chupp were batting stars. Brayden Wiese and Carly Mast made good fielding plays.

Moose Lodge Sidewinders: Leading the Moose were Zane Nissley and Dalton Orr at the plate; Ricky Orr and Caeden Evans in the field.

Eby Ford Mustangs: Isaac Badskey, Reagan Badskey and Tristan Black had impressive hits. Tyson Chupp and Alexis Moro were cited for defense.

Minor Baseball

Supreme Yankees 14, Stutsman Dentistry Brewers 2: Jesus Santos, Drew Hogan and Sam Pena each had three hits for the Yankees. Mateo Machuca and Nemuel Campos played good defense. Lukas Bontrager Waite ripped three hits for the Brewers, Drew Sweetser and Matthew Talley two apiece. Dave Castaneda and Moises Gutierrez were good fielders.

Play It Again Orioles 13, Eagle Ready Mix Silverhawks 3: Colin Turner and Nick Horner pitched for the winners. Eva Yoder had two hits, Cade Cleveland, Rocky Jones and Jared Juarez one apiece. Ethan Vallejo, Sebastian Fisher and Daniel Fontana delivered Silverhawk hits.

K & K Custom Rangers 11, Contemporary Cardinals 4: Logan Hoogenboom struck out 10 in four innings and Austin Cain two in one. Ben Bontrager Singer and Hoogenboom both had two hits. Mason Mast, Joseph Good and Joel Honey had sharp hits for the Cards.

Brewers 19, Hoogie’s Rays 16: Lukas Bontrager Waite and Matthew Talley both homered for the Brewers. Landon Nissley added four hits, Moises Gutierrez and Bodie Hunt three apiece. Danny Elizalde, Malachi Lind, Kobe Myers and Roman Zamora had three each for the Rays.

VFW Red Sox 18, Barker Dentistry Generals 5: Derek Stotts struck out nine and Drew Marlow four pitching for the winners. Bryant Robinson had two hits, Derek Stotts and Jarrett Byler each one.

Indiana Wood Rockies 10, RS Pest Diamondbacks 4: Raul Gomez had five hits for the Rockies, Nathan Parson and Bailey Ziegler both four and Jaime Ramos two. Peyton Penland, Riley Babcock and Brandon Ramos were fielding stars. Jacob Neer, Wyatt Fisher and Bradyn Gross had two hits each for RS Pest.

Safe Kids Pirates 12, First Source Seawolves 5: Andrew Peterson, Nate Olvera and Zane Stoll pitched for the Pirates. Bryant Grewe, Stoll, Diego Torres, Liam Schwartz, Josafath Hernandez, Sergio Velasco and Nate Olvera had good hits. Matt Parson and Cam Schneider hit safely for FS.

Major Baseball

J & J Marketing White Sox 10, Goshen Firefighter Tigers 8: Donnie Higdon homered for the Sox. Cade Fisher had three hits, Austin Bontrager two, Sammy Whitehead, Josuel Sanchez and Devin Love one each. Love and Noah Caouette pitched. C.J. Detweiler had three hits for the Tigers, Elliot Nafziger, Tyrell Stayton and Brock Tauteris one each.

White Sox 14, Wightman & Petrie Dodgers 8: Charlie Collins, Devin Love and winning pitcher William Koshmider each had two hits for the Sox and William Troyer one. Lorenzo Camacho had three for the Dodgers, Ryan Schlichter, Nicholas Pernice and Robert Holbrook one each.

Micro Source Senators 6, Tigers 5: Chase Knoblock was the winning pitcher with Ryan Jacobs earning a save. Jacobs had three hits, Taylor Glasgow two, Nathaniel Wertz, Alan Rivera and Cody Maust one each. C.J. Detweiler had three for the Tigers, Kyler Altenhof, Elijah Lora and Elliot Nafziger one each.

Gleason Industrial A’s 6, Terry’s Cleaning Cubs 5: Jose Pizana and Manuel Castillo both had two hits for Gleason and Robby Riegsecker one. Pizana was the winning hurler and Michael Pinarski was credited with a save. Jacob Haimes, James Paetkau, Collin Hewitt and Logan Troyer hit safely for the Cubs.

Rookie Softball

Goshen Electric Thunder: Brynn Shoup Hill, Zania Nolan and Jenna VanderWey had solid hits. Anna VanderWey was excellent in the field.

Himco Team Force: Team leaders were Kaylin Warner and Olivia Koshmider hitting; Lauren Fetters and Ashlynn Yoder fielding.

Minor Softball

Goshen Panthers 22, Bristol Fireflies 8: Elkah DeVoe struck out nine as the winning pitcher. DeVoe, Jami Converse, Kaitlyn Graber, Reanna Snyder and Kailyn Moss had key hits.

Battlecats 15, Monteith Tire Wildcats 8: Sasha Rivera, Kaylin Grose, Sam Breniser and Kassy Miller were top hitters for the winners. Catelin Weaver and Korinn Hodges hit safely for Monteith.

Major Softball

Ideal Coating 19, Osolo 8: Kaley Holmes and Emily Castillo pitched for Goshen. Castillo and Shelby Yoder both had three hits, Isabel Rondo and Maddie Cross both two.

Baugo Two 23, Ideal Coating 16: Ana Maria Ramirez had three RBI for Ideal. Maddie Cross and Shelby Yoder also hit safely.

Campbell & Fetter Stars 22, Baugo One 19: Alexis VanOver, Zaytiah Nolen, Jasmine Lentner and Caitlyn Doyle hammered two hits each for Goshen, Rachel Fuller and Gaby Ott both one. VanOver and Doyle both pitched three innings.


Rookie Baseball

Pletcher Sales 12, Edward Jones 8: Drew Pletcher had three hits for the winners, Mason Pletcher and Skylar Reyes both two.

Pletcher Sales 17, OSMC 10: Garrett Thomas had three hits, Zach Tribble two and Jonathan Eichstadt one for PS.

Quality Driveaway 13, Middlebury Fire Dept. 11: Samuel Forst had four hits for Quality, Logan Hooley, Ty Miller and Justin Puckett three each. Kent Bailey had two for Fire Department, Parker Stahly and Jonathan Pfluger both one.

Machine Pitch Baseball

Premier Driving 8, Aera Concepts 5: Trevor Brown belted two home runs for PD, Grant Martin and William Bontrager both four hits.

Priority One 17, Family Dentistry 4: Nick Bucher homered twice for Priority, Brett Woolsey had three hits and Ethan Boyer two. Mason Floria had four hits, Clint Walker three and Beck Williams one for FD.

Minor Baseball

Max Myers 15, Hilltop 14: Colton Puckett and Dakota Derr both had two hits for MM, Tucker Bontrager and Cameron Miller both one. Bontrager, Oliver Eveler and Puckett pitched. Nick Ganczak had three hits for Hilltop including a homer, Collin Williams three hits, Tony Inesta two, Keenan Story, Tanner Sallee and Ethan Gascho one each.

People’s Feveral Savings vs. Ameri-Kart: Braden Yoder, Rhett Addis, Austin Routh, Sam Ferris, Josh Cranston, Jack VonGunten and Josh Beard led PFS. Tyler Evers singled for A-K.

Major Baseball

Jerry’s Standard 9, Sunnyland Const. 7: Tyler Gingerich and Jake Williams pitched for the winners. Pierce Keck, Cam Bergman and Gingerich had key hits. Xavier Miller had three hits and Max Teunissen one for SC.

Sunnyland over Jerry’s: Teunissen and Keegan Short pitched for the winners. Cole Robbins, Tristan Swihart, Connor Glenn, X. Miller and Teunissen were top hitters. Williams doubled for Jerry’s.


Family Medical Center 15, Middlebury Three 14: Audrey D’Arcy and Emma Bontrager pitched for Family Medical. For Middlebury, Anna Coil and Karma Helvey had two hits each, Sara Troyer and Mackenzie Diaz both four steals.

Major Softball

Troyer Products 18, Hostetler 17: Sara Troyer, Karma Helmey and Jada Crofoot each had two hits for TP, Alexa Lambright and Anna Coil both one. Annie Charick and Alyna Gascho pitched. top Hostetler hitters were Kaitlyn Kennedy, Emilee Ankrom, Natalie Whitman, Alexis Peters and Jadyn Huffman.
