PREP FOOTBALL ROUNDUP: Concord wallops Washington


SOUTH BEND —  Concord quarterback Trevor Willmore couldn’t be contained in the first half of the Minutemen’s season opener. He got two scores on the ground and another two with his arm through the air as Concord steam rolled South Bend Washington to a 42-6 win.

Willmore went 6 of 13 in the first half for 91 yards passing and had 77 rushing yards.

Fairfield 28, Central Noble

ALBION — Fairfield faced a challenge from Central Noble on the road in the season opener for both Northeast Corner Conference teams before capping off a 28-14. The Falcons managed a touchdown in each of the first two quarters and held a 14-7 lead at halftime.

Fairfield clung to a 20-14 lead in the fourth quarter before extending it to 28-14 with a TD.
