PREP BASEBALL: Raiders represent

Northridge has five all-conference players in 2013

GOSHEN — The league champion Northridge Raiders placed five players on the All-NLC high school baseball team for the 2013 season.

Representing the Raiders were senior Shannon Baker, senior Blake Fry, senior Brock Logan, senior Austin Moniot and sophomore Sam Troyer.

Senior Luke Harris was the Goshen representative. Also named to the first team were senior Mason Eldridge, senior Dakota Simon, junior Nick DeFreese and junior Stephen Pinarski of Concord; senior Tommy Klem, junior Blake Cleveland and junior Kyle McCoy of NorthWood; sophomore Drew Anderson of Wawasee, senior Robert Asbury and sophomore Daniel Asbury of Elkhart Memorial, junior Blake Milliser of Plymouth; senior Jason Ferguson, senior Shay Hepler, and senior Jared Lemler of Warsaw.

Honorable mention honors went to junior Deric Haynes of Goshen, senior Arick Doberenz and junior Jake Baylis of Northridge, senior Chad Ervin and junior Hunter Lane of NorthWood, junior Cain Crowley and junior Taylor Miller of Concord, junior Nate Hare of Wawasee, sophomore Cam Maxwell of Memorial, sophomore Justin Drudge of Plymouth and senior Josh Frantz of Warsaw.

Andrew Brabender of Northridge was the coach of the year.

Final NLC standings were Northridge 13-1, Concord and NorthWood both 10-4, Warsaw 9-5, Goshen and Plymouth both 5-9, Memorial 3-11 and Wawasee 1-13.
