Goshen shut out by Plymouth Pilgrims



The Goshen Lady Redskins lost, 2-0, in Northern Lakes Conference action Thursday night at Plymouth.

Stephanie Heston and Kendra Bciningea scored for the winners.

Plymouth led 7-4 in shots on goal and 4-2 in corner kicks. Gabby Garcia made five keeper saves for the Redskins.

Goshen (6-2-1) travels to Wawasee Saturday.

The JV ended in a 1-1 tie. Joanna Leal scored for Goshen assisted by Maddie Birky. Rachel Christner made four keeper saves and Laura Dolzeal one.



Bethany, NorthWood invitational winners



Bethany Christian blanked West Noble, 6-0, in the Bethany invitational Thursday.

Emma Caskey and Marissa Weldy both scored two goals for the Bruins, Emma Gerig and Sharisse Yoder both one.

Gerig had two assists, Weldy, Yoder and Paige Wheeler one each. BC led in shots on goal, 18-3, and corner kicks, 5-1. Winning keeper Kelly Snyder had three saves.

NorthWood was a 5-0 winner over Elkhart Christian Academy.

Kelcie Lehman netted three goals, Kristin Burt and Cynthia Medina both one for NorthWood.

NorthWood had advantages of 9-1 in shots on goal and 3-2 in corner kicks. Danae Ehret made a keeper save for NorthWood.



Minutemen, Tigers in 1-1 conference tie



Concord and Warsaw played to a 1-1 tie in a Northern Lakes Conference matchup Thursday night at Warsaw.

Hannah Cutsall scored for Warsaw in the 12th minute on a penalty kick. Hannah Amos scored for Concord in the 31st minute assisted by Jen Reyes.

Warsaw led 17-9 in shots on goal and 4-1 in corner kicks. Kayla Werst made 11 keeper saves for Concord and Gabby Monroy four for Warsaw.

Concord (4-1-3, 1-0-2 NLC) hosts Northridge Tuesday.

The JV also ended in a 1-1 tie. Miranda Savoie scored for Concord and Gabby Monroy for Warsaw. Yohana Romero made 11 keeper saves for Concord and Calli McGrath two for Warsaw.



Smith, Denman tally in Northridge victory



The Northridge Raiders were 2-0 winners Thursday night over the visiting Westview Warriors.

Connie Smith scored in the 4th minute assisted by Haley Keil and Stacy Denman in the 51st assisted by Hillary Blyly.

The winners led 11-7 in shots on goal while Westview had a 5-4 advantage in corner kicks. Kaytlynn Coutler made five keeper saves for Northridge and Stephanie Hochstetler two for Westview.

Northridge (6-0) hosts Plymouth Saturday and Westview (5-1) visits Central Noble Tuesday.

The JV ended in a 1-1 tie. Cedes Clifford scored for Northridge assisted by Maggie Lengacher. Michelle Mowery scored for Westview. Jessica Hostetler made 15 keeper saves for Northridge and Brittany Heshberger eight for Westview.
