Chargers over Lakers

Jose Gallegos netted a pair of goals, leading West Noble to a 6-0 Northeast Corner Conference win over Lakeland Tuesday at Ligonier.

Edgar Mejia, Emanuel Macias, Diego Morillo and Mario Pizana added goals for the winners. Pizana and Macias both had two assists and Murillo one.

Rafael Correa made eight keeper saves for West Noble. He made a great save on a penalty kick to preserve the shutout.

West Noble (4-1-1, 3-0 NECC) visits Lakewood Park Thursday.



Bethany a winner

over Minutemen

Bethany Christian was a 4-2 winner over Concord Monday at BC.

Luke Slagel scored for the winners in the 15th minute assisted by Dan Barwick, Jordan Weaver unassisted in the 53rd and 57th and Jesse Ramer in the 67th assisted by Barwick. Jordan Burt scored for Concord in the 60th and 62nd minutes.

Bethany had a 10-8 advantage in shots on goal. Seth Kauffman made six keeper saves for the winners and Jaran Lee six for Concord.

Bethany (4-0) visits Northridge Friday and Concord (3-1-1) is at Warsaw Wednesday.

Concord was a 1-0 JV winner as Adam Alexander scored in the 45th minute. Concord led 5-3 in shots on goal. Shayn Hambrice made three keeper saves while Courtland Jones and Jeff Yoder combined on four for Bethany.



West Noble JV rolls

West Noble was a 6-0 JV winner over Keystone Christian on Tuesday.

Victor Macias, Esteban Campos and Juan Belmares each scored two goals. Macias and Belmares were both credited with two assists. Julio Regaldo made three keeper saves.
