Concord, Fairfield draw tough regional foes

The Concord Minutemen and Fairfield Falcons will be playing in high school baseball regionals Saturday.
Concord (18-10) squares off with the No. 1-ranked Crown Point Bulldogs in the Class 4A field at LaPorte.
Concord plays the second game at about 2 p.m. after the Lake Central Indians (26-3) and South Bend Adams Eagles (11-15) clash at 11:30 a.m. (Dunlap time).
Winners meet for the championship at 8 p.m. (Dunlap time) and a berth in the northern semistate to be played on Saturday, June 13 at either Kokomo or Coveleski Stadium in South Bend.
Fairfield (20-7) faces the Hammond Noll Warriors (22-8) at approximately 12:30 p.m. in the Class 2A field at Jimtown.
The Boone Grove Wolves (22-6) clash with the Central Noble Cougars (15-9) in the 10 a.m. opener.
Winners meet for the championship at 7 p.m. and a berth in the northern semistate to be played on Saturday, June 13 at either Kokomo or Coveleski Stadium in South Bend.
