Northridge, Jimtown in regional title showdown

— Northridge edged Warsaw, 3-2, and Jimtown blanked Westview, 5-0, in high school girls tennis regional matches Tuesday at Northridge in Middlebury.
Kristin Zakiewicz won at No. 1 doubles for the Raiders who swept doubles with Alyssa Hottinger and Mackenzie Pletcher at No. 1, Abbey Powers and Rita Jakubowicz at No. 2.
Jimtown singles winners were Stephanie York, Brittany Stebbins and Brianna Houghton. Jessica George and Sarah DeShone won at No. 1 doubles, Jordan Nine and Ashley Springsteen at No. 2.
Northridge and Jimtown meet in the championship contest at 5 p.m. today with the winner advancing to a Saturday semistate at LaPorte.
