Acker’s grand slam
boosts Minutemen
Doug Acker of Concord belted a grand-slam home run Friday as the Minutemen captured a 17-15 Northern Lakes Conference slugfest from Wawasee at Syracuse.
Dan Dingeldein of Wawasee had eight RBI with a home run and two doubles.

in ‘C’ team contest
Goshen defeated Bethany Christian, 13-6, in a “C” team game Friday.
Mike Lewallen struck out 10 as winning pitcher. Johnny Hernandez and Barrett Younghans both had two hits for the Redskins and Tito Hernandez made a great diving catch at first base.
